Let's support
Ramón López.
At 58, Ramón lives with ALS and communicates through his eyes. Together, we can stand beside him and support his care and medical needs.
Meet Ramón.
At 58, Ramón López lives each day with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). For decades he was an active man, someone who solved problems with his hands and made his presence felt with a steady stride.
According to the account shared for this campaign, the first changes were unusual clumsiness in his hands and a gradual loss of strength. What initially seemed like tiredness eventually had a name: ALS.
As the illness progressed, Ramón came to need a wheelchair and lost movement in his arms and hands, as well as the ability to speak. Today he uses breathing support and communicates through an eye-tracking screen. With his gaze, he selects letters, builds sentences, greets visitors, shares jokes and says what he thinks.
Those beside him describe Ramón as attentive and alert, with his familiar sense of humor. This is their account of his experience; ALS can affect each person differently.
Ramón is still here. Behind the silence is a person with memories, relationships, opinions and a life that deserves care and dignity. His story also includes the people who stand beside him, supporting his daily life with love.
This campaign aims to raise US$25,000 to support his documented medical and care needs. Every contribution is a way to stand with him. If you cannot donate today, sharing his story can also help support reach Ramón.

Campaign information updated on 09/09/2026. How to read these figures.
A wall of support.
1 person has contributed.
Before you contribute.
How do I know my contribution was received?
Your receipt is available when PayPal confirms the payment to the server. We also send it to your email. A redirect alone does not confirm a contribution.
Can I contribute without showing my name?
Yes. Leave the public name option unchecked and we will show Anonymous donor. You may also hide the amount on the wall. The contribution still counts toward the campaign total.
How is the money used?
Read each campaign's needs and Transparency section. Disbursements and documented use are recorded there. PayPal fees are shown separately.
Is medical recovery or reaching the goal guaranteed?
No. A contribution provides financial support and does not guarantee a medical outcome or that the goal will be reached. Care needs and decisions belong to the beneficiary and their medical team.
Is my contribution tax deductible?
Not necessarily. Toptrono is a private support and fundraising platform for medical cases, not a registered foundation or charity.
What should I do if there is a problem with my payment?
Keep your receipt and contact support with its reference. Do not share passwords, full card details or medical documentation for this purpose. Confirmed refunds are reflected in the figures.
